On the way back from Chichen Itza, the only bus that would pick us up on the side of the road was a 2nd class bus. They will stop for virtually anyone and anything... including people carrying their animals/dinner with them. After talking with the gentleman in the photo for a few minutes, we learned that he was a professional musician on his way to a gig. He immediately pulled out his guitar and started jamming solo. This prompted the entire bus (including some Italian tourists) to start singing, clapping, and laughing. Even the bus driver was singing along! It was good fun and I swore never to take a first-class (gringo) bus the next time I was in Mexico.
