Celebración De San Judas Tadeo :: Mexico City, México :: © 2005 Patrick Esmonde
Celebración De San Judas Tadeo  At the Temple of San Hipólito on the 28th of each month (and especially in November) huge crowds gather to pray to Saint Judas Tadeo, "the protective lord of the impossible causes, the patients and the rebellious children who have turned aside their way to the vices". I only passed by the festival and didn´t have time to stop in, but I hear it is quite a party.

Visible Rain Study 1  Not a common sight in the northeast at all, this is a storm that you can see in action. The rain is in the lower quarter of this image, with the rest of the cloud expanding upwards. The area that it was raining in was about the size of a baseball diamond.
How Did He Do That?! :: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania :: © 2005 Patrick Esmonde
How Did He Do That?!  If you zoom in closely, you can see that his foot is perfectly on top of the waterline. This was one shot, not a burst of 100 rapid-fire images.

Tahoe Sunrise Into The Heavens  This photo surely was my reward for unwillingly getting up that morning. It´s mornings like these that make me believe a little more that there might indeed be a God.
Sprinkler Action Shot! :: Montana, United States of America :: © 2004 Patrick Esmonde
Sprinkler Action Shot!  Taken out of a car at an undisclosed high speed, this is of a sprinkler system watering a field of soy beans.
Badlands Thunderstorm :: Badlands National Park, South Dakota :: © 2004 Patrick Esmonde
Badlands Thunderstorm  Although the day started off nice and clear, these clouds pulled in out of nowhere and dumped a huge amount of rain on the Badlands. We drove straight through it and also found its effects at our tent site later that night. Apparently, our tent was one of the only tents that weathered the storm and did not fly away.
