Tribal Dance :: Mexico City, México :: © 2005 Patrick Esmonde
Tribal Dance  Looking down at me crouched down on the ground, this girl gave me exactly what I wanted: Energy, spirit, and a dirty look. Although I didn´t realize it at the time, I think she thought I was trying to take a picture up her skirt. (The camera was angled upwards from the ground so I could crop out the crowd behind her.)

Alien Triathlete :: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania :: © 2005 Patrick Esmonde
Alien Triathlete  The colors of the goggles are not fabricated. I removed the color around them for emphasis. I also like how her fingers make it look like she has some sort of ribbed nose structure. This is certainly my way of passively-aggressively saying that I think triathletes are a strange bunch.
How Did He Do That?! :: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania :: © 2005 Patrick Esmonde
How Did He Do That?!  If you zoom in closely, you can see that his foot is perfectly on top of the waterline. This was one shot, not a burst of 100 rapid-fire images.
The Leisure Of An Infinite Being :: Carlisle, Pennsylvania :: © 2004 Patrick Esmonde
The Leisure Of An Infinite Being  A long exposure portrait during a meditation session yielded some interesting results when a candle was whirled back and forth in the shape of the infinity symbol.
