  Photographer's Notes

I really liked the contrast of colors in this composition. The bright yellow shell made the green really... well... green. When I was studying art, one concept that they taught was that motion could be captured more easily through diagonal lines. Coincidentally, this was shown through a painting of a rower by Thomas Eakins, an American Realist. Through much of my other work, this composition style is explored and I have been very happy with my results.

Product Description

Actual Image Area:8.21" x 12.18" (approx.)
Materials:Silver Gelatin Print, Archival Mat Book, Wood or Metal Frame, Archival Foamboard, Glass, Hanging Wire

Photograph
Every photographic print is individually cropped, color/density balanced, and then printed on traditional photo paper (AKA: Silver Gelatin). These are not inkjet prints and come with the same longevity and quality that is still associated with an "old fashion" print. Each image is printed to preserve the original crop and because of this, sometimes the image does not enlarge fully to the paper/frame size. Please review the information above to see how large the actual image size will be relative to the paper size. By not forcing the image to fit the size of the paper, the composition and integrity of the image is preserved. This also allows a margin for proper matting.

Archival Matting
Matting is museum-quality, book-style with a 4-ply mat window and 2-ply backing. Both boards are 100% rag board that are P.A.T. archival certified and have a pH of 9.0. The two pieces are hinged together on the long side with archival tape. The image is then taped on the corner
